Prix {virginia} Photography Prize For Women 2024 : The Prix Virginia, photography competition organised by the Association SYLVIA S, has been recently opened for entries for 2022 and like every two year invites only woman photographer to partecipate recognizing its works.

About Competition

Prix Virginia International Photography Prize For Women 2024, international photography competition organised by the SYLVIA S Association in Paris, France, recognizes the work of a woman photographer.

Awarded every two years since 2012, The Prix Virginia is the first photography prize exclusively reserved for a woman photographer, regardless of her age or nationality. This competition provides an invaluable opportunity for women photographers to gain international exposure and recognition.

Participants are encouraged to submit a cohesive collection of 12 to 18 photographs, showcasing their talent and vision in any subject matter.

Work done for commercial advertising or as an editorial assignment for an article will not be accepted. Photos submitted to the Virginia Prize should not have been exhibited in France. However, the artist may have already exhibited other works in France.

Only 1 application per candidate is accepted.

The Jury is composed of eight key cultural figures who deliberate and designate the Winner. The jury shall designate the Winner and the Selection of the Jury consisting of 10 photographers. The prize winner and the 10 specially recognized will be invited to send via internet their photography files in high definition (300 DPI, 30cm length).

An award ceremony will be held in November, 2024.

Eligibility

Prix {virginia} Photography Prize For Women 2024 is open to women photographers of any nationality and age. However, submissions should not include photojournalism or advertising work, and the photographs should not have been exhibited in France prior to the competition.

Prize

The Sylvia S. Association will award 10.000€ to the winner. The jury also designates a Selection of the Jury consisting of 10 photographers.
