VIDEONALE.19 – Festival for Video and Time-Based Art now is over!
VIDEONALE.19, one of the most significant festivals for experimental video and moving images, has started accepting submission and all artists and filmmakers are invited to submit their best works for the competition.
About Competition
The call for entries for the 19th edition of the Videonale is open and organizer cordially invite artists and filmmakers, distributors, universities and galleries worldwide to submit their works for the competition.
Videonale is one of the most significant festivals for experimental video and moving images, an important venue for artists, curators, collectors and the interested public.
The call is open for experimental works from the fields of single- and multi-channel video, video installation, performance, sound art, and virtual reality.
The works will be selected by an international jury and presented in an exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Bonn and an accompanying exhibition catalogue. All selected artists receive an exhibition fee and accommodation during the opening days and are given the opportunity to participate in the festival.
The VIDEONALE.19 festival will take place from 31 Match – 15 May, 2023 at Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany.
Submission requirements
➜ artists can submit up to 3 works each.
➜ there are no limitations on the duration and genre, but the submitted works may not be older than two years (produced after 1 January 2020)
➜ works produced in a language other than English must have English subtitles.
Results will be announced in October 2022.
Eligibility
Artists of any nationality and any age are invited to participate in this competition.
Prize
The Videonale Prize of the Fluentum Collection endowed with 5,000 Euro will be awarded among all selected works by an independent jury at the opening of the 19th edition of the Videonale.
Entry fees
An administration fee will be charged for each submission:
