12th Gandiablasco International Outdoor Furniture Design Competition 2018 now is over!
GANDIABLASCO, a well-known outdoor furniture company, announces its 12th edition of its International Outdoor furniture competition inviting all design students or young professionals to partecipate with they best project.
About Competition
The 12th edition of International Outdoor furniture competition has been organised by GANDIABLASCO, today a well-known (and recognised) outdoor furniture company which, to a great extent, has managed to highlight the quality of Spanish design internationally. The brand began to operate by producing blankets during the Spanish post-war period.
The submitted work should include the design of an exterior element that could be a piece of furniture, an accessory, a lamp… something that makes the experience of being outdoors better, you decide.
Requiremets of the project:
The projects must be industrially reproducible. Designs must be original and must not been entered in any other competitions or previously published. Participants will be able to make any necessary enquiries up to 22/02/18 via e-mail.
Guidlines:
Upload the following documentation to the website: - A full description of the project with the identifying title on the front cover, presented in PDF and A4 format. I. Description of the product and build details. II. Approximate estimate of manufacturing costs. – Submit in PDF, A3 format (minimum of 2 and maximum of 3): I. Floor plans for the proposed design: floors, walls and sections. II. Technical details explaining how the product is to be built. III. Isometric perspectives, rendered images or photographs showing attractive views of the product, contextualised in an outdoor setting.
The projects are entrants’ intellectual property, and they will be able to protect their designs by registering them as their own intellectual property before submitting them.
Projects must be submitted via the Competition registration platform on the GANDIABLASCO website from 14th November 2017 to 22 February 2018.
A judging panel will be set up to evaluate the proposals submitted, consisting of professionals from the world of culture, design and the furniture industry sector.
The judging panel will decide on the voting procedure by majority vote. The judging panel is authorised to make decisions on aspects not covered by these rules, as well as on issues that may arise as a result of this competition. Candidates will be notified of the dates for both the judging panel meeting and the prize-giving ceremony via the GANDIABLASCO website.
There is no entry fee for this competition.
Eligibility
Participants must be design students or young professionals, aged between 18 and 35 years.
