17th DC Shorts Film Festival now is over!
Now in its 17th year, the DC Shorts Film Festival is accepting submissions for 2020 inviting all filmmakers worldwide to participate with they best independent short films.
About Competition
The call for film submissions for the 17th DC Shorts International Film Festival 2020, the largest short film event on the east coast of the United States, is now open for entries accepting submissions from filmmakers around the world.
DC Shorts turns the spotlight on truly independent short films created around the globe.
Submission requirements:
All genres and styles of films from 30 seconds to 40 minutes can be submitted. Films over 40 minutes will not considered.
Films must have been completed on or after January 1, 2019.
Films must NOT be a previously submitted film.
All non-English language films must have English subtitles.
All accepted films will be screened during the festival and a total of 7 awards will be announced in different competition categories.
DC Shorts International Film Festival is an award-winning, internationally recognized film festival held every September in Washington, D.C. The 2020 Festival is scheduled for 10–19 September, 2020.
Entry Fees:
• Earlybird Deadline – December 31, 2019 - $45
• Regular Deadline – February 28 , 2020 - $60
• Late Deadline – March 31, 2020 - $70
• Extended Deadline – April 30, 2020 - $85
