About Competition
As part of the 18th Treviso Comic Book Festival edition (TCBF 2021), Associazione Fumetti in Treviso announces the International Contest for New Comic Authors organized in collaboration with Banca Prealpi SanBiagio Credito Cooperativo.
This year’s theme is “NOT AS BEFORE”.
In order to participate in the contest, each participant (or group of participants) is required to submit a comic story about this year’s theme. Stories and characters in the submitted comic story can be both fictional or based on real people and events.
The award ceremony of the International Contest for New Writers TCBF 2021 will take place during the Carlo Boscarato award ceremony 2021.
Submission requirements
Submitted artwork must be a comic story of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 pages, and has to be submitted in the digital PDF format. Artist are full freedom in the choice of drawing techniques and coloring styles. The artwork can be black and white or in color. The text of the comic story must be either in Italian or English. The stories and characters must be absolutely unpublished and an original piece, completed solely by the participants.
Eligibility
The competition is open exclusively to beginner comic authors of all nationalities who will have turned at least 18 years old by the 3rd September, 2021.
Prize
A panel of judges will select the winners, assigning the following prizes:
• 1st prize: 500 Euro
• 2nd prize: 300 Euro
• 3rd prize: 200 Euro
