3rd International Contest of the Theatrical Poster 2018 now is over!

Poster competition titled 3rd International Contest of the Theatrical Poster for 2018 has been recently organised by Odessa Breeze, this time as part of the X International Festival-Laboratory of Chamber Theaters and Small-Form Plays ’MOLDFEST.RAMPA.RU’, Moldova, Kishinev, with aim to develop a theatrical poster as an art form, the strengthening of the international cultural ties, providing opportunities for participation for artists from all over the world.

About Competition

Odessa Breeze is hosting its 3rd poster competition for 2018 titled International Contest of the Theatrical Poster, this time as part of the X International Festival-Laboratory of Chamber Theaters and Small-Form Plays “MOLDFEST.RAMPA.RU”, Kishinev, Moldova.

At different times this Festival was attended by theater groups from many countries, such as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, Israel, Germany, Switzerland etc. This Festival is the real creative laboratory, art school, where numerous festival performances are discussed “from dusk till dawn”, where opinions of representstives of modern theatrical art expressing various trends and styles clash.

The main aim of this poster competition is the further development of theatrical poster as an art form, the strengthening of the international cultural ties, providing opportunities for participation for artists from all over the world.

Two competition categories are available:

• classical poster
• advertising video clips of performances for city boards, Internet and e-media.

No more than 2 works in each nomination of 2015-2018 to any performance or play take part in the Contest.

Requirement to works:

The posters of 2015-2018 to any performances.
1. Posters can be executed in any techiques on A1 format in tif (jpg) format at least 150 dpi.
2. Advertising video clips of performances have to be in avi, fla, mp4 format and last no more than 40 seconds.
Works need to be send together with the Application set Form by e-mail on address plakat2018@bk.ru

The Contest will be held in 2 stages::

1.Internet-Contest. All sent electronic versions of posters will be placed on the special site www.postercontest.org. The collection of works will be ended on October 31. Everybody may vote for the favorite poster. The official voting starts on 1 November, and lasts till end of theatrical festival.

2. In final stage the Jury will select about 70 posters and 20 advertising video clips of performances for further exposition in Kishinev in December 2018. After the closing of the Exhibition the Jury announces 3 winners in the each nomination. Also by results of the Internet voting the winner of Internet contest in each nomination is awarded to diploma. Awards and diplomas of participants will be sent by e-mail. The audience who visits the Exhibition of theatrical posters and videos in Kishinev, can vote for 1 of works. By results of this voting the prize of spectator sympathies is handed.

The X International Festival-Laboratory of Chamber Theaters and Small-Form Plays “MOLDFEST.RAMPA.RU” is scheduled for 3rd–7th December, 2018.

There is no entry fees for this competition!
