Applied Arts 2017 Student Awards now is over!
Applied Arts, visual communications magazine has announced the call for entry for its 2017 advertising award titled Applied Arts Student Awards, the largest and most respected show of its kind in North America, open worldwide to all students in creative advertising, graphic design, interactive media, photography and illustration.
About Competition
Advertising award titled Applied Arts 2017 Student Awards recently opened and organised by Applied Arts visual communications magazine is the largest and most respected show of its kind in North America.
Winning an Applied Arts Student Award is a great way to launch your career. Your submissions will be judged by respected senior communications professionals, so you’ll know how your work stands up according to the highest standards in the industry.
Every entry is scored independently, based on creative merit, technical excellence and suitability for end use.
Entries can be submitted in five 5 categories:
• Advertising
• Design
• Photography & Illustration
• Interactive/Gaming
• Highschool
For a Single entry, you may upload one file. For a Series entry, up to three images may be uploaded.
Alternatively, you may submit a URL in place of digital files for judging. The URL should be a direct link to your entry and not part of a larger portfolio site.
Digital Images: Images must be supplied in JPEG format at 72 dpi in RGB (not CMYK). Files must not exceed 2MB.
Radio: Files must be supplied in MP3 format or be available by URL. For MP3 submissions, use 128kpbs bit rate. For series entries, please include one second between each spot and upload as a single file. Files must not exceed 3MB.
Television: Files must be supplied in QuickTime (.MOV), MP4 format or viewable by URL. For QuickTime or MP4 format, compress using H.264 codec to 640x480 pixels. For series entries, please include one second between each spot and upload as a single file. Files must not exceed 5MB.
Typography Design & Application: Entries should be submitted in JPEG format. Up to three file uploads are allowable. This should consist of the typeface design as well as examples of the typeface being applied.
Any work completed as a school requirement or work completed independently during the course of your studies is eligible for entry. And even if you graduated within the last year and the work that you are interested in submitting to the 2017 Student Awards was not submitted to last year’s Student Awards, then you are still eligible to enter. Instructors can make group submission on behalf of their students.
Winners will be notified in July via e-mail. At that time, winners will be required to submit high-res images for reproduction in the magazine.
Entry fees for this competition start from 20 USD.
