Architizer has launched its 1st Annual Architizer A + Firm Awards 2020, the world’s largest architectural awards program that spotlight the best in the AEC industry, giving innovative companies the global recognition they deserve.
About Competition
The 1st Annual Architizer A+Firm Awards 2020 has been recently launched by Architizer, a new program created to spotlight the architects and collaborators behind the world’s best architecture.
The A+Firm Awards will spotlight the best in the AEC industry, giving innovative companies the global recognition they deserve. It is the only program designed explicitly to reward studios of all sizes, geographies, and specializations.
The deadline for entries is November 20, with a late deadline of December 11, 2020.
Categories
The Architizer A+Firm Awards has 30+ categories broken up into Best of the Year Awards, Typology Awards, and Specialization Awards. You will be able to select the categories most applicable to your work. Submission materials can be the same or vary across categories. There is no limit to how many categories a project can be submitted to, and it is possible to win multiple times.
Submission requirements
➜ firms will be judged on a portfolio of their work comprising up to six projects, three of which must be completed in the last ten years.
➜ There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted, nor is there a limit to the number of categories you may enter.
➜ Submitted descriptions need to be in English.

The most influential juries will offer their unique perspective to help identify which firms are the world's best, based on the quality of their work and what they stand for in today's fast-evolving world.
Finalists will be announced in December 2020, with winners announced in early 2021.
Eligibility
The Architizer A+Firm Awards is an international awards program open to all firms involved in architecture, design, planning and construction.
Prize
Best of the Year Awards are given to architecture and design firms at the forefront of their discipline, demonstrating innovative and creative thinking, as well as impeccable detailing and execution, across a range of projects.
Typology Awards are given to architecture and design firms excelling in a specific architectural typology. These awards spotlight the in-depth knowledge of firms that have the ability to respond to unique programmatic challenges, designing buildings that are exemplary in their genre.
Specialization Awards seek to recognize the unique expertise of everyone involved in the design process, from concept to completion.
For each category, the Jury will select five finalists which represent the five best in the category. Out of the finalists, one winner will be selected and will win the coveted A+Firm Award for that specific category.
Entry fees
Entry fee starts from $245 for a Best Small Firm during the Early Submission period (October 9, 2020).
