The Cultural Association MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art) organizes the 15th Edition of Arte Laguna Prize 2020-2021, international Prize aimed at promoting and enhancing contemporary art.
About Competition
Now in its 15th edition Arte Laguna Prize 2020-2021, the world’s most influential competition for emerging artists and designers that showcases and promotes creative talents now is calling for entries and accepting submissions from all parts of the world.
The aims of Arte Laguna Prize is to promote contemporary art providing artists with professional development opportunities. It’s stands out in the global art scene for the variety of its partnerships and opportunities offered to artists, and is recognized worldwide as a real springboard for the artists’ career.

➜ the information about the works (title, technique, year and dimensions) depending on the section you are applying to.
➜ It is not necessary for works to be new, and they may have already been submitted to other contests or other exhibitions. The submitted works may also have been exhibited in other contexts (or they may still be at the moment of the enrollment), the important thing is that they are available for the finalists exhibition.
Evaluation Criteria
The jurors will evaluate the works by taking into considerations the international contemporary art features and according to qualitative criteria as well as research and technical abilities.
The submitted works will be evaluated by an international jury who will select the finalist artists and designers that will exhibit at the Arsenale of Venice from March 13th to April 5th and will award the three overall winners.
Eligibility
The Prize is open to all Artists and Designers, with no restrictions of age, gender, nationality or any other qualifications. It is possible to apply as a group of artists.
Prize
Benefits for the winners:
➜ The 3 cash pizes of 10.000€ each will be awarded.
➜ Artists can freely publish their artworks on the on-line international portal Arte Laguna World, online platform with the aim to foster the dissemination and promotion of contemporary art.
➜ The 3 works awarded with the cash prizes will receive a critical text from the artistic curator of the Prize.
➜ The selected artists will be promoted online and announced during the awards ceremony at the Arsenale of Venice.
Entry fees
➜ 80€ + 22% vat (97,60 €) for artists under 35
➜ 100€ + 22% vat (122 €) for artists over 35
The fee allows the applicant to submit 5 works also in different sections; each additional work, following the 5th, costs 20 € + 22% vat (24,40 €).
