Moscow International Typography Festival Typomania this year presents the cartographic poster competition titled Black Plan 2017 seeking for fresh new cartographic poster from all around the world.
About Competition
The International Typographic Festival Typomania is an annual type, typography, calligraphy event. The aim of the festival is to collect and connect as many type fans as possible and turn them in to a professional community. Moreover they see it as their goal to popularize the typography culture, be sensitive to traditions and support the most daring interesting experiments and projects.
Moscow International Typography Festival TYPOMANIA presents Cartographic Poster Contest BLACK PLAN 2017.
Design a map of your city (or a map of it’s fragment), the map should contain type.
For the correct realisation of your proposals, keep into consideration the following:
— colour: black
— size: 70 cm × 100 cm (vertical)
— bitmap (no halftones)
— any technique (typography, calligraphy, drawing, pixel-art etc.)
— every work should be marked with contest’s logo
Works should be submitted as jpeg files on facebook page of this competition.
International jury Yuri Gordon, Nicholas Felton, Joost Grootens will make a selection of the best maps.
There is no entry fee for this competition.
Eligibility
Open worldwide to designers, illustrators, animators. There are no age restrictions.
