British Journal of Aesthetics 2016 now is over!
The British Journal of Aesthetics (BJA) has recently opened its annual journal competition for 2016 themed ’Art and War’ to design the cover for British Journal of Aesthetics. This competition is open to students on full-time undergraduate or graduate courses at art and design schools or in fine art/design departments in any country.
About Competition
The British Journal of Aesthetics (BJA) holds a journal competition each year open to students on full-time undergraduate or graduate courses at art and design schools or in fine art/design departments in any country to design a cover for the journal, which is published by Oxford University Press (OUP), both in print and online.
The overall cover design includes an image, generally a black & white photograph of a sculpture or a detail from a print. It is normally but not necessarily a monochrome image.
Entries to the competition will consist in a .jpeg or .tiff containing an image, and a cover design incorporating the image, which can be assembled using a template that on the official web page (the template is available in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
The resolution of the image must be at least 300dpi. There is no restriction on the use of colour.
The winning entry will showcase the distinctive style of the artist, while remaining consistent with the series of covers as a whole.
There is no entry fee for this journal competition!
Eligibility
To be eligible to enter this journal competition, you must be enrolled on a full-time undergraduate or graduate course at an art school on 30 January 2016.
