About Competition
The 3rd edition of Carapelli For Art, an award for visual art promoted by the historic Tuscan company Carapelli, officially begins.
Carapelli is promoting the 3rd Carapelli for Art award, a competition for visual arts that intends to enhance, promote and support contemporary art creation.
The theme of the competition is ’Roots’.
“The roots keep us firm on the ground, to make us grow in height; they are our identity, history, tradition - individually and collectively. They make any form of exchange possible because their strength is inclusive. This is in their principle: they give us nourishment and stability, to allow development and transformation. In art, the roots are essential: they can be the relationship with one’s origin, the recurring character of a research, the solid link with a material or an idea, the first and necessary element of a process.’ Categories are:
❶ “Open” category - reserved for all professional artists;
❷ “Academy” category - reserved for students enrolled at the Academies of Fine Arts.
Entries can be either new pieces or previous artworks, as long as these have not been entered in other competitions. Any technique and materials can be used.
Submission requirements:
Application must be upload in the dedicated section of the website www.carapelliforart.it with following information:
➜ CV in English or Italian.
➜ Description and summary of the artwork (maximum of 500 words)
