2017 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition now is over!
Confindustria Ceramica (the Italian Association of Ceramics) and the Italian Trade Agency are proud to announce the 2017 Ceramics of Italy Tile, design competition. Now in its 24th year, the annual awards program recognizes the work of top North American architects and designers who create imaginative spaces using Italian ceramic and porcelain tile.
About Competition
Tile design competition, The 2017 Ceramics of Italy Tile, now in its 24th year, the annual awards program invites North America-based architects and designers to submit their most innovative and sustainable projects from the past five years that take advantage of the excellent technical and aesthetic qualities of Italian ceramic and porcelain tile.
Projects that predominantly feature Italian tile, newly built or renovated, domestic or international will be evaluated by an international jury of design experts in the residential, institutional and commercial categories.
From home kitchens to corporate offices to tile-clad facades, Ceramics of Italy is looking for all types and scales of built projects featuring Italian tile.
A panel of design experts will judge the projects based on their creativity, functionality, sustainability and aesthetic appeal. The official criterion for the jury includes: overall design of the project, innovative use of tile, tile design, quality of installation, degree that tile enhances the setting and the project’s sustainable attributes.
Submissions must be completed no later than January 6, 2017.
There is no entry fee to participate!
Eligibility
The competition is open to all North American architects and interior designers. Domestic and international new construction and renovation projects completed between January 2012 and January 2017 are eligible for entry.
