The Chelsea International Photography Competition 2021, organised by Agora Gallery, is calling for submissions open to entries from throughout the world, celebrates gifted, notable, and fresh talents in the world of fine arts.
About Competition
The Chelsea International Photography Competition 2021 is an recently open call for submissions organised by Agora Gallery that is looking for great, new talent, offering amateur and professional photographers at any stage of their careers invaluable opportunities for international exposure.
The competition is open to images that may investigate any topic, from regional cultures and travel photography to commercial work and photojournalism. Photographs that are sexually explicit, violent and/or racist will not be considered for the Competition.
Submission guidelines:
➜ Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital, printing, and mixed media are eligible. Video art, film, performance art, jewelry, and crafts are not eligible.
➜ All submitted artwork must be available for sale.
➜ It is allowed to submit images of several artworks or multiple views of the same artwork, both options are acceptable.
➜ Two-dimensional artwork dimensions cannot be larger than 75 x 85 inches (192 x 218 centimeters)
➜ Three-dimensional artwork (i.e., sculptures) cannot be larger than 72 x 72 x 24 inches (184 x 184 x 61 centimeters)
Submission requirements:
All entries, without exception, must be in digital format with the following specifications:
➜ Each image must be at least 72 dpi and 200 KB.
➜ The shortest side of the image must be at least 338 pixels.
➜ All entries must be JPG format.
➜ Each image should not exceed 5MB and should be smaller than 7500 x 7500 pixels.
➜ You need to send also title, dimensions and medium of each artwork.
Art submitted to the competition will be reviewed by a rotating panel of expert jurors, each representing a different field in the art world, ensuring a fair and balanced selection process.
The 15 photographers will be selected from both categories (amateur and professionals) to display one photograph as part of the group exhibition.
Results will be announced on November 3rd, 2020, with the competition exhibition slated on January 5-14th, 2021.
Entry fees:
There is a $45 entry fee for up to 5 images ($5 for each additional image). Submissions received from February 2nd to February 10th may include 2 additional images at no additional cost.
Eligibility
All visual artists worldwide above the age of 18 are eligible to participate.
Prize
The 2020 competition awards are valued at more than $70,000. In addition to cash prizes, other awards include participation in a group exhibition in New York, international exposure, participation in an art fair and promotional opportunities.
