Cheltenham Illustration Awards 2018 now is over!
Illustration award titled Cheltenham Illustration Awards has been recently opened for entries for 2018 with the theme ’Tangled Tales’, inviting all students, emerging and established illustrators worldwide to submit they best works.
About Competition
The Cheltenham Illustration Awards, an illustration award organised by the University of Gloucestershire(UK), has been recently opened for entries for 2018.
The focus of the Cheltenham Illustration Awards has always been one of narrative. Visual storytelling, whether sequential or single image, gives scope to the imagination and opens up possibilities beyond the present moment.
The 2018 theme is: "Tangled Tales".
« Lives connected by strands of overlapping narrative. Bridging borders and boundaries, a world united by a tangle of tales.»
There are two main sections:
• Student
• Emerging and Established
Submission Guidelines:
• File image size: (Portrait or landscape) 50x40 cm max, 300dpi
• Image format: High quality JPEG
The Student category is open to all full-time students over 18 years of age worldwide. The Emerging and Established category is open to any newly practising illustrators who are wishing to gain exposure of their work and to those who are more established and are apart of the illustration world.
You can submit 4 entries for person.
Artwork must be supplied digitally via the transfer service WeTransfer.
Judging of entries will take place in August by a professional committee. Successful applicants will be notified by email mid September.
A public exhibition will be held in Autumn/Winter of 2018 on behalf of the University of Gloucestershire.
The selected work will be showcased at the Museum in the Park, Stroud, UK, other venues, and published in the 2018 Cheltenham Illustration Awards Annual, which will be distributed to educators and publishers, internationally.
There is no entry fee for this competition.

This competition is open worldwide to all students, emerging and established illustrators.
