D&AD New Blood Shift 2019 now is over!
D&AD recently has released D&AD New Blood Shift 2019 in its 4rd year, an Design Workshop and intensive night school programme that places an emphasis on raw, untrained talent and compels its students to make the best creative work of their life.
About Competition
The D&AD New Blood Shift 2019 is once again open for applications! This is an design workshop and intensive night school programme that places an emphasis on raw, untrained talent and compels its students to make the best creative work of their life.
D&AD believes that talent comes from anywhere, and wants to afford young people opportunities they may not have without formal further education or existing networks.
Now in its 4rd year Shift compels its students to make the best creative work of their life. This is accomplished through workshops, talks by those at the top of their game and real client briefs that show young minds how to apply their abilities and craft, and find paid opportunities and a route into a new career.
Partecipating you are putting yourself forward for to chance to participate in a 4 month programme, delivered by D&AD.
Submission requirements:
Organizer want to see 3 examples of the sort of creative work that you already do. This might be design, a campaign concept, a piece of artwork, a video, some photographs, lyrics, a story...it’s up to you what you share.
Up to 20 applicants will be invited to take part in the full Shift London programme. A celebratory event, showing off the Class of 2019 portfolios to the industry and securing paid placements is scheduled for January 2020.
There is no entry fee to participate!
Eligibility
To be eligible for Shift, you must:
• Be over 18 years old
• Be a UK resident
• Not hold a degree level qualification (BA or equivalent) in any subject
• Not be currently enrolled in a degree level qualification (BA or equivalent) in any subject
• Be interested in a career in the design, advertising and creative industries
• Be able to commit to 2 evening classes per week, plus occasional weekends from September - December
• If shortlisted, be able to attend a Challenge Day on 22 August.
