DMI is proud to announce its 2020 dmi:Design Value Awards, the award that honor teams that have worked across boundaries to deliver significant value through design or design management practices.
About Competition
The Design Management Institute (DMI), an international organization that connects, promotes, and elevates design and innovation to business, society and the changing world, is proud to announce the 2020 dmi:Design Value Awards.
The Design Value Awards are distinctive in that they recognize the value of design and design management as a strategic asset: as a means to drive innovation, creativity, culture change, agility and revenue.
The Awards honor teams that have worked across boundaries to deliver significant value through design or design management practices. The value can be expressed as positive financial gain, value to the user/customer, advances in process, improvements in organizational capability or culture, and positive impact on social issues / environmental sustainability.
What Does the dmi: Design Value Award Application Contain?
❶ Your design value initiative and the objective of your initiative
❷ The value that was delivered in each of the following categories: (responses are limited to approximately 350 words)
➜ Financial Value
➜ Value to the Customer
➜ Organizational Culture Change
➜ Social Value (i.e. environmental impact, social inequality, hunger, health, and social justice.)
❸ 2 x digital posters must be submitted (1 Horizontal + 1 Vertical Format)
DMI requires two posters with the following specifications:
● Posters must be submitted in digitaly in PDF format print quality resolution.
● The maximum uploadeable file size for each poster is 16MB. If larger please dropbox posters to webmaster@dmi.org.
● The vertical poster must be in the aspect ratio 4:9 so that it may be printed as a tall vertical banner to be displayed at the dmi:Design Leadership Conference and Design Value Awards Ceremony.
● The horizontal poster must follow these guidelines in order to be published as a two page spread in the dmi:Review Magazine.
The posters of dmi:Design Value Award winners will be printed and displayed on tall vertical banners at the dmi:Design Leadership Conference in Boston and published as a two page horizontal spread in the dmi:Review magazine. The winner or Award recipient must be present at the dmi:Design Value Awards ceremony in order to receive an Award.
Entry fees:
● DMI Members - $550 USD
● Non-Members - $750 USD
Eligibility
2020 dmi:Design Value Awards is open globally to consultants, government agencies, non-profit organizations, educators and corporations of any size. Global organizations of any size are considered for the awards.
