European Fashion Award FASH 2018 now is over!
European Fashion Award FASH 2018, fashion design award organised by German Fashion Industry Foundation (Munich) is now open for entries focused on the sustainable support of young students and graduates in a very exclusive and interactive format.
About Competition
Fashion design award titled European Fashion Award FASH 2018, aimed at particularly gifted design students from all disciplines, in particular from the fields of fashion and textile, is now open for entries.
FASH, fashion design award, one of the most important international awards for fashion students is organised by German Fashion Industry Foundation (Munich). The exclusive and interactive format focuses on the promotion of young talent in fashion design.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the non-profit Stiftung der Deutschen Bekleidungsindustrie (German Fashion Industry Foundation), in short SDBI -, the European Fashion Award FASH was redesigned and adapted to the fundamentally changed study regulations, a new generation and the vital changes in the fashion industry.
In order to evaluate your work optimally, it is important that you comply with the following standards:

Curriculum Vitae
Proof of matriculation at a university or date of the final examination
All documents must be combined in one (!) PDF:
• file format: .pdf, maximum size: 7 MB
• file name: participation number + FASH18 e.g. 29-S-FASH18.pdf
• max. 25 pages
• Normal upper/lower case, not set in capitals
• Participation number on the 1st page
The PDF is uploaded to the OneDrive platform. The access will be sent to you with the confirmation of participation.
The finalists will present up to 10 realized outfits to the jury in addition to their portfolio.
The application with a portfolio of previous works, letter of motivation and curriculum vitae is possible at www.fash.berlin.
All works submitted in accordance with the rules will be judged according to the following criteria, the weighting will be left to the jury:
• Quality of analysis
• Independence
• Concept (symbolic and emotional content)
• Innovation/Vision
• Development potential
• Functionality (movement, ergonomics, choice of materials)
• Technical and creative implementation (selection of materials, quality of drawings, presentation, processing, fit, colour concept)
A international jury with experts from design, industry, trade, communication and media will select the prize winners in two rounds according to defined criteria. First, 20 finalists will be selected from all applications. In Berlin, the two prize winners in the categories Students and Graduates will be selected. In addition, the finalists will choose a winner among themselves.
The experience and feedback of the more than 100 prize winners and their professors have been incorporated into the new concept.
There is no entry fees to partecipate in this fashion design award!
Eligibility
Eligible to participate are students of full age (Bachelor, Diploma) and Master/PhD. They must be registered at a university or fashion school at the time of registration, or graduated after May 1, 2017.
