European Fashion Award FASH 2020 now is over!
European Fashion Award FASH 2020, organised by German Fashion Industry Foundation (Munich) is now open for entries like every year focused on the sustainable support of young students and graduates in a very exclusive and interactive format.
About Competition
The European Fashion Award FASH 2020, the world’s oldest organization for promoting particularly gifted fashion design students from all disciplines, in particular from the fields of fashion and textile is open for entries!
The European Fashion Award FASH is one of the most important international awards for fashion students. Its aim is to promote young designers by introducing them to the world of business and industry. Categories:
• Students,
• Graduates Bachelor,
• Graduates II.
New this year is the special award Workwear. In addition to designers, also students and graduates (from May 1, 2019) from the fields of garment technology, product development or design engineering can apply for the special award Workwear.
Submission requirements:
❶ Portfolio
Photos of previous projects, working process, sketches, moods, details such as draping, technical drawings: On one page the works you want to present in the FASH Showroom.
❷ Letter of motivation
• What do you expect from participating in the European Fashion Award FASH?
• Why do you still want to work in the fashion industry today?
• What profession in fashion are you aiming for?
❸ Curriculum Vitae
❹ Proof of matriculation at a university or date of the final examination.
All documents must be combined in one PDF:
• file format: .pdf, maximum size: 7 MB
• file name: participation number + FASH19 e.g. 29-S-FASH19.pdf
• max. 25 pages
• Normal upper/lower case, not set in capitals
• Participation number on the 1st page
For the special award Workwear, a design sketch is also required.
The closing date for registration is April 27th and for submissions 3rd May, 2020.

• Quality of analysis
• Independence
• Concept (symbolic and emotional content)
• Innovation/Vision
• Development potential
• Functionality (movement, ergonomics, choice of materials)
• Technical and creative implementation (selection of materials, quality of drawings, presentation, processing, fit, colour concept)
All works submitted to the Special Award Workwear will be judged according to the following criteria:
• Functionality(movement, ergonomics, safty at work)
• Material selection and combination
• Technical and creative implementation (quality of the drawings, presentation, processing, fit, colour concept)
• Innovation/Vision
• Sustainability
• Independence
• Concept (symbolic and emotional content)
• Development potential
The jury will select up to 20 participants. European Fashion Award FASH will be held from June 11th – 13th in Berlin. The finalists will present up to 10 realized outfits to the jury in addition to their portfolio. A clothes rack will be available for each finalist in the showroom.
There is no entry fee to participate!
Eligibility
Eligible to participate are students of full age (Bachelor, Diploma) and Master/PhD. They must be registered at a european university or fashion school at the time of registration, or graduated after May 1, 2019.
