FotoFilmic'15 Global Film Photography Competition now is over!
The 3rd edition of FotoFilmic’s annual global film photography competition has recently been opened and all film photographers are invited to submit their best works for 2015. FotoFilmic is an independent film-photography publication and curation platform dedicated to emerging and unknown photographers working on film and analog/historical processes.
In the global context of digital technology FotoFilmic reflects an ongoing transformative understanding of Film Photography as a distinct fine art medium and practice within contemporary photography. New to 2015, the FotoFilmic Exhibition FotoFilmic’15 will travel to and open in three (3) different cities and countries: first in New York, United States in August 2015, then in Vancouver, Canada in October 2015 and close in Seoul, South Korea in March 2016! The 2015 competition has 2 parts:- A 6-month Online curated Shortlist of 90 film photographers, selected through 3 consecutive 2-month calls
- An international juried exhibition of contemporary film photography – FotoFilmic’15 – featuring 30 final winners and prints from the completed Shortlist and juried by IANN photography magazine Editor-In-Chief Jeong Eun Kim (South Korea), Art Critic and Space 22 curator Yeonha Choi (South Korea), Sous Les Étoiles Gallery Founder & Director Corinne Tapia (New York), Lenscratch Founder and Editor Aline Smithson (Los Angeles), C/O Berlin Curator Ann-Christin Bertrand (Berlin), Oodee Founder Damien Poulain (London)
Submissions cost $35 CAD for 4 to 10 individual images.
