The International Talent Contest for Fashion & Design and one of the world’s most established global fashion competition for students The FRANKfurtstyleaward recently has been opened the call for entries anticipating its 10th Anniversary with the motto ’Modern Reality’.
About Competition
The FRANKfurtstyleaward, international Talent Contest for Fashion & Design is one of the world’s most established global fashion competition for students and offers up and coming designers a significant career platform as well as a marketing and network platform for the participating schools.
For its 10th Anniversary the motto is “Modern Reality”.
Fashion is a system of signs. It is and it creates MODERN REALITY. In the 21st century fashion decodes and locates us in the now. It tells the story of who & where & how we are.
#virtualreality #culture #love #identity #innovation #power #movement: fashion speaks many words in many languages. Its innovative attributes bring the future to the present und as a pioneer for sustainability; it reconciles the relationship between humans and nature.
The FRANKfurtstyleaward intends to intellectually challenge young talents worldwide. The three categories “#working”, “#sporting” and “#dating” offer inspiration for innovative and creative ideas.
Each designer is allowed to submit a design in a maximum of 2 categories.
The submitted applications will be evaluated by a jury of experts. In the first round of voting, the jurors will assess the concept and design sketch. Points will be awarded for originality of ideas, the colour concept, the selection of materials as well as the creative interpretation.
In the final round, the focus will primarily be on the manifestation of the concept.
The most important factors are the technical ability, quality of the craftsmanship, wear - ability and the overall impression.
Special attention will be paid to innovative materials and technologies this year.
The TOP60 finalists will be nominated and invited to the glamorous Award Gala in Frankfurt, September 2017.
Each year the outstanding creative achievements of the 60 finalists are also merged into a TOP60 Collection, which enchants exhibitors and visitors alike at leading trade fairs for fashion, art and culture in Berlin, Paris, Shanghai and New York.
There is no entry fee for this fashion competition!
