Future Generation Art Prize 2019 now is over!
The Future Generation Art Prize 2019 has been recently opened for entries, established by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation to discover, recognize and give long-term support to a future generation of artists.
About Competition
Established by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, now in its 5th year, the Future Generation Art Prize is accepting applications for 2019 art competition to discover, recognize and give long-term support to a future generation of artists. It is widely acknowledged as a springboard for emerging talent.
Future Generation Art Prize is an innovative international award and art competition for artists up to 35 years of age of all backgrounds, working in any medium, investing in the artistic development and new production of works. This is the only prize for the young generation of artists with a global dimension and guided by an open, free, and democratic application process (online). Supported by an eminent board, distinguished jury, and outstanding selection committee, the Prize brings together the best of the art world to champion a new generation of artists.
All artists up to 35 may apply with their work without any restrictions concerning gender, nationality, race or artistic medium. All artists apart from former Prize winners are eligible to apply multiple times, as long as they continue to fulfill the entry conditions.
The 300 correspondent art experts from all over the world will nominate a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 candidates. The experts are curators, artists, critics and tutors at art colleges and academies. A selection committee will review the applications and select up to 20 artists for the exhibition. The selection committee has the right to exclude applications which do not comply with the rules. The selection committee consists of experts on contemporary art. The members of the selection committee are put forward by the Jury.
A distinguished international jury determines the main prize and special prizes winners at their meeting in Kyiv during the Future Generation Art Prize exhibition at the PinchukArtCentre. They award the prizes at a ceremony on the day of the meeting, 6 March 2019.
