Go Green in the City 2019 - Student Competition now is over!
The Go Green in the City challenge is now entering its 9th year running, looking for students from around the world who are willing to put their skills and ideas to the test.
About Competition
Schneider Electric has launched the 2019 edition of their 9th ultimate global Student Challenge for sustainable energy solutions named Go Green In The City, to once again support innovative solutions which meet the future challenges of intelligent energy.
The Go Green in the City is the one of the biggest global business challenges today! More than 80,000 students from 180 countries have participated in the Go Green in the City challenge over the last 8 years.
Organizer are looking for students from around the world who are willing to put their skills and ideas to the test.
The challenge is to solve one of four real-life case challenges within energy management or submit your bold idea for efficient energy management in a city environment.
Go Green in the City 2018 includes the following five competition categories:
• Sustainability & Access to Energy — Digitize Schneider Electric’s business and enable access to energy or sustainable developments
• Buildings of the Future — Can buildings be smarter, more sustainable and incorporate new technologies?
• Plants of the Future — Apply IoT, AI, Machine Learning and more to the industries of the present or future
• Grids of the Future — Imagine the future of energy management and distribution
Up to 70 teams (10 - 15 teams chosen per Region) will be selected by Schneider Electric regional juries based on the following criteria: innovativeness, feasibility, presentation quality and sustainable impact.
After that juries from Schneider Electric’s offices will be selecting the best project from each region for the Grand Finale in Spain. The Regional Finals will either be virtual (online selection by judging criteria and company-wide vote) and for some regions, there will be a live event with the opportunity for each team to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges. Selection will be based on the following criteria: innovation, technical and economic feasibility.
Once the final 8 teams have been announced, mentoring by Schneider Electric will continue. Teams will have a few weeks to practice and perfect their pitch before flying off to the Schneider Electric Global Innovation Summit in Spain
The top teams are invited to attend the Schneider Electric Innovation Summit in Barcelona!
