Golden Pin Design Award 2018 now is over!
The Golden Pin Design Award 2018, the only international huaren-focused design award in the world, has been recently opened for entries inviting designers from around the world to flaunt products and projects that cater to the global Chinese-speaking, or huaren, communities.

This is the 38th year of the Golden Pin Design Award. Over the past 37 years, the award has built a reputation as the authority on design in the Chinese-speaking world, only opening to international entrants in 2014. The award specializes in huaren design — design for and within the Chinese-speaking community.
In the previous editions entrants needed to be a registered company in a Chinese-speaking country or region in order to participate. This year, the Golden Pin Design Award encourages more international companies to take part by opening the annual competition to companies from anywhere in the world.
Golden Pin Best Design winners are invited to attend the exciting award ceremony in Taipei, where they are presented on stage with a bespoke trophy. Winners may also be eligible to access free networking, exhibition, sales, and promotion opportunities provided by the Taiwan Design Center.
There are four award categories:
• Product design
• Communication design
• Spatial design
• Integration design
Entered products and projects are assessed in three stages by an expert international jury. Second stage winners receive a Golden Pin Design Mark–an indicator of innovation that they can use to market their product or design project.
Of these winners, just 15 to 20 receive a Best Design Award. All winners benefit from increased brand exposure through the public and media relations efforts of the Golden Pin team.
The deadline for entries is June 28, and early bird entrants can benefit from a discounted registration fee before April 30.
The registration fee is $55 (USD) per project for entries before the early bird deadline.
Eligibility
The Golden Pin Design Award is an annual award that accepts entries from individuals or companies that are selling, manufacturing, or designing products or projects in a Chinese-speaking country or region.
