Grand Prix Fotofestiwal 2018 now is over!
The Foundation of Visual Education has opened the call for Grand Prix Fotofestiwal 2018 to gives photographers an opportunity to present their works during Fotofestiwal and awards artists with exceptional personality and projects that present daring ideas.
About Competition
Organized by Fundacja Edukacji Wizualnej, Grand Prix is a competition that award artists of exceptional personality and projects that present daring ideas.
The aim of this competition is to select the most interesting projects, which shall be presented in the Grand Prix Programme of the 17. International Festival of Photography in Łódź – Fotofestiwal 2018.
Fotofestiwal was established in 2001 as one of the first photography events in Poland. It was a spontaneous initiative of students and lecturers of the Sociology Department. Since then, photography and ways of organizing cultural events have transformed. The same has been true for Fotofestiwal itself – they have a different perspective towards the program, they work differently, their viewer’s needs have changed. Still, Fotofestiwal remains a space for presenting various forms and types of photography, a forum for discussion about art and society, a motivation to search for alternative methods of discussing and exhibiting photography. But first of all, invariably, it is a place where people meet.
Submission Requirements:
• 1 or 2 projects with 10 to 20 photos (single photo or series)
• the submitted photographs must fulfill the following technical terms: min. 1500px, max. 7000px
There are no restrictions concerning the subject, technique or quantity of works. Submission also does not impose any restrictions related to topics, age or place.
One project authored by a Participant of the Contest can be registered as one submission.
Projects authored by duets or collectives can also be submitted.
Works included in the Project should be authored by the submitting person or persons in the case of duets and collectives, by no means can they be encumbered with third-party rights.
The registration fee is 25 Euro for each submitted project.
Eligibility
This competition is open to everybody. All the photographers are welcome to send their works.
