Photography awards Head On Photo Awards is Australia’s most prestigious photography event and one of the world’s leading annual photography festivals inviting all professional, emerging and enthusiast photographers from classical to contemporary styles to partecipate with they best work.
About Competition
Photography awards Head On Photo Festival is Australia’s most prestigious photography event and one of the world’s leading photography festivals and also only annual photography festival in Australia.
Held in Sydney over three weeks, it hosts numerous free events and exhibitions, low-cost workshops and talks led by Australian and international industry professionals.
The Festival encompasses the prestigious Head On Photo Awards, which represent a global selection of the best work from emerging and established photographers across 4 categories:
- Portrait
- Landscape
- Mobile
- Student
Your entry can be taken using any photographic device (except for the Head On Mobile Prize for which you are required to have used a mobile device). Work submitted can have been taken at any time.
Copyright in the images remains the property of the photographer.
Entry fee for Portrait, Landscape, Mobile categories is 30 AUD, that’s approximately 22 USD per image.
Entry fee for Student category is 1 AUD per image.
Eligibility
This competition is open worldwide to professional, emerging and enthusiast photographers from Classical to Contemporary styles. The Head On Student Prize is instead open to Australia's young photographers (school years K-12).
