Huawei NEXT-IMAGE Awards 2020 now is over!
The NEXT-IMAGE Awards, organised by Huawei, is an competition and open invitation to all Huawei smartphone owners to create and share your most uplifting and joyous images and short films.
About Competition
The NEXT-IMAGE Awards 2020, organised by Huawei, now is calling for entries! The NEXT-IMAGE Awards embody Huawei’s dedication to the craft and artistry of modern photography.
As an important part of Huawei’s NEXT-IMAGE Plan, which started in 2017, the annual NEXT-IMAGE Awards is committed to inspiring mobile phone users worldwide to create a new visual culture. The ’NEXT’ in NEXT-IMAGE refers to the photographers using next generation tools to create and spread cutting-edge visual content. ’IMAGE’ refers to both static imagery as well as new forms of dynamic visual expression. HUAWEI proposed the ’NEXT-IMAGE’ concept not only to highlight the many years of innovation it has brought to the field of visual expression, but also to create a concept that represents a new growing school of photography.
There are six categories:
➜ Near Far - Discovering new places and new experiences there by using new features of phone camera, for instance tele-photo lens, super-wide-angle lens or macro-shooting lens.
➜ Good Night - Capturing fun moments in low light.
➜ Hello, Life! - Sharing the emotion or the inspiration in everyday experiences.
➜ Faces - Experimenting with identity and the power of portraiture of you yourself, her/him/it or them.
➜ Live Moments - Filming stories in less than 10 minutes (at least 10 seconds).
➜ Storyteller - Sequencing 3 to 9 photos to tell a story, to express the emotion, to record the changes or to find a trend.
Submission guidelines:
➜ The photos or videos submitted may only have been graphically edited using a HUAWEI phone (editing on third-party applications is accepted). You can submit your photos in .jpg format only. The resolution of the photo shorter side must be at least 1,000 pixels, and the data volume of a single image shall not exceed 20 MB. Any video submitted are allowed to be processed by software on computers or third-party applications on phones, but the original files must still be captured on HUAWEI phones. The data volume of a single video submission shall not exceed 500 MB. You can submit your videos in .mp4 format.
➜ There are no restrictions on when you took the photos/videos or which model of HUAWEI/HONOR phone you used.
➜ Each participant can upload a maximum of 30 works, which can be a photo, group of photos, or videos.
➜ Submissions that have won an award in any award-winning contest or have been published in a public periodical will not be accepted for submission.
After the initial submission, all approved ones will be screened by a preliminary jury, and 1000 images will be selected for the final stage of the contest. For the final judgment, a panel of judges will be invited to work together to decide the winners.
The list of winners will be officially announced in mid-September 2020.
There is no entry fee to partecipate!
Eligibility
Any HUAWEI/HONOR phone user from around the world can participate.
Prize
Grand prize winners (3 winners) will recive 10,000 USD and Huawei P40 Pro (8 GB+256 GB) smartphone. Lot of other prizes will be awarded as well.
