IDA International Design Awards 2020 now is over!
IDA International Design Awards 2020 has been recently opened for entries in its 14th year, inviting all architects and interior designers, product designers, graphic designers and fashion designers to submit they best works.
About Competition
IDA International Design Awards 2020, organized by Farmani Group is one of the most respected design awards and now is calling for entries!
The International Design Awards (IDA) exists to recognize, celebrate and promote legendary design visionaries and to uncover emerging talent in Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic, and Fashion Design. IDA aspires to draw attention to the iconoclasm of design world wide, conceptualizing and producing great work. Farmani Group assembled IDA as the design sibling of the Annual Lucie Awards for Photography, which has emerged as one of the world’s most prestigious photography awards.
There are 5 main design disciplines:
➜ Architecture design
➜ Fashion design
➜ Interior design
➜ Product design
➜ Graphic design
Submission requirements:
➜ You are required to submit up to 10 images for each design and the brief description of the design, limited to 600 characters.
➜ Entries should include as much detail as possible, including images of each side of the building or environment along with the contextual surroundings. Please include floor and small-scale (8.5” x 11”) site plans showing the project in its context.
Where the project is a group of buildings, entrants should provide a rendering that illustrates the complete project. If the entry concerns an alteration or restoration, please include both “before” and “after” images.
➜ Entries can be submitted as completed, in-process, or conceptual works.
➜ For best results, make sure your images are a JPG or PNG file cropped to a 4:3 format, are at least 1000px wide, and no larger than 4MB.
➜ You may submit as many entries as you wish and you may enter the same design into as many categories as you see fit.
➜ Projects or designs must have been completed no more than 5 years from the time of submission in order to be eligible.
After all submission has been finalized IDA staff jury and a member of IDA jury will start the process of the official selection. This process is to select the qualified entries and prepare them for the jury voting. The jury votes on realized or conceptual entries, based on its originality, function, innovation and statics.
Each year, based on the points (1-100) that the jury has assigned to each entry the participants can receive a Gold, Silver or Bronze certificate.
One entry in each discipline will receive the sought-after IDA trophy at the Bi-Annual International Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles.
Entry fees:
Entry fee starts from $250 for Professionals Entry and $80 for Students Entry but very depends of the category. Additional categories (2 or more) will be charged at 50% in the same discipline. If you enter before Early Bird Deadline (May 30, 2020) you will get 10% discount.
Eligibility
Architects and interior designers, product designers, graphic designers and fashion designers are invited to submit their work for the IDA design competition.
Prize
All successful entrants will receive the IDA Winner's logo, and are entitled to use it for commercial purposes to promote their winnings. Receiving an IDA award not only is a significant achievement in design, but also ensures that the award winners will receive promotional material to publicize their winning.
The IDA Trophy will be given to the winners of the International Designer of the Year in each of the 5 Professional Design disciplines, and Discovery of the Year Award (non-professional/student), at the Bi-Annual International Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles.
