The Illustraciència 2021 International Illustration Award has been recently opened for entries and like every year invites all teams and individuals aged over 18 years old worldwide to participate.
About Competition
The Illustraciència 2021 International Illustration Award organised by the National Museum of Natural Sciences and the Catalan Association of Science Communication and now in its 8th edition aims to disseminate the importance of science illustration and pushes it in all its forms, supporting science illustrators and rewarding them through the convening of the International Award on Scientific Illustration.
Their goal is to promote scientific illustration in all its forms and reward the work of scientific illustrators through the call for the International Award on Scientific Illustration. For each edition, an itinerant collective exhibition and a catalogue with the 40 selected works are made.
The subject of the illustrations must be related to science or nature and the technique is free. The work must have been created between January 2020 and March 15, 2021.
Each participant may submit only 1 illustration.
From among all received proposals, the jury will select a maximum of 40 illustrations to be part of Illustraciencia´s fifth edition exhibition taking into account their scientific accuracy, innovation and information capacity.

Eligibility
All work teams or individuals over 18 years of age may participate in this award regardless of their country of residence.
Prize
The winner in each category will receive 600 EUR.
