About Competition
Mittelmoda, one of the oldest international fashion design contest for young talents, this year is coming back for the 24th year and is calling out for the 2017 edition of the most international fashion contest ever.
The competition is promoted by Mittelmoda International Lab in collaboration with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, SMI - Sistema Moda Italia, Fondazione Industrie Cotone Lino and Milano Unica.
Every year the organizers receive entries from over 600 fashion, arts and design schools from 44 countries worldwide.
Mittelmoda is also Lab, permanent observatory on the emerging creativity involved and reached by the contest.
The project is non-profit, independent, and for this reason is able to aim at supporting the young designers’ creativity unconditionally, offering a meeting point and a place where to compare ideas, proposals, innovations and creations to the representatives of the leading brands in the fashion design system, to the international mass media, to the specialized public, to the professors, to the graduates in fashion design as well as to the emergent fashion talent.
Budding fashion designers and fashion design students of the art & design colleges from all over the world have until the 31st of March 2017 to get their submissions in to run for the selection phase and then, if they are lucky enough, to get a capsule fashion show on Mittelmoda’s catwalk and be awarded one of the many prizes available.
