Analysing the several product typologies offered in the Lampa catalogue, we invite you to study innovative solutions for studs, buttons, press studs, buckles, rings, hooks, toggles, frog closures, rope cord locks (see Material files) that will be employed in the clothing, footwear, leather and fashion accessories industries.
About Competition
Scope: revisit the products already in the Lampa catalogue – studs, buttons, press studs, buckles, rings, hooks, toggles, frog closures, rope cord locks (see Material files) – reinterpreting them by employing new shapes, different colours, finishes, textures and materials.
You can also propose new solutions and applications that provide additional benefits in terms of usability, style and decoration.
You can also consider to develop a single element or a family of products belonging to different typologies, playing with the same materials or the same range of colours.
Functions: your proposals will have mainly decorative and aesthetic functions, all the same granting the primary functions of the product at issue. Pay due attention also to the issues of usability and style, adding significant innovations to your proposals.
Materials: for your proposal consider the employment of materials currently used in the Lampa catalogue, that is nylon, acrylic, ABS and zamak). In your projects you can use either a single material or more materials combined.
Target: the products we are looking for will be employed in the clothing, footwear, leather and fashion accessories industries.
Style: there are no particular constraints for the style to adopt for your projects. Accordingly we also invite you to propose new styles for different contexts.
Deliverables: to better evaluate your proposals, include at least one rendering where you show your product affixed on an item of clothing, footwear, leather, fashion accessory or wherever it best fits. Upload all the images that better present your projects (rendering, descriptions, CAD files, etc.) and, if necessary, remember that you can also attach a .zip archive containing extra materials. Don’t forget about the abstract and description to give further info about your projects. You can submit as many entries as you like!
Eligibility
Participation is free of charge and open to designers and creative talents of any nationality aged 18 years or older. Participants can present one or more projects, but only the projects published on the www.desall.com web site, via the upload page related to “Lampa fashion award“ will be accepted.
