Lexus Design Award 2020 now is over!
Lexus Design Award, an international Design Competition that targets up-and-coming creators from around the world, has been recently launched for 2020 seeking to foster the growth of ideas that contribute to society by supporting creators whose works can help to shape a better future.
About Competition
LEXUS in collaboration with designboom present the Lexus Design Award 2020, international Design Competition that targets up-and-coming creators from around the world. Lexus invites today’s emerging design leaders to ‘Design for a Better Tomorrow’ for an extraordinary chance to achieve recognition on the world stage.
Since 2013, this international competition provides a unique opportunity for six finalists to work with globally recognized designers as mentors to create prototypes of their designs, and then exhibit them at one of the design calendar’s most important events. There are four categories:
• Architecture
• Product Design
• Fashion
• Engineering
Guidelines:
Submitted concepts must anticipate a challenge of the future, address that challenge with an innovative solution, and captivate the imagination with its exceptional design.
Evaluation criteria:
• Amticipate - Does the concept and design anticipate not only the needs of the user experience, but the needs of society?
• Innovate - Does the design demonstrate the new thinking and originality in its proposal and execution?
• Captivate - Is the design intriguing and compelling when realized in concept and execution?
The 6 Finalists will be chosen by the middle of December 2019. The Finalists will be announced on Lexus official website in end January 2020.

Eligibility
The Lexus Design Award 2020 is open to professionals, students and design enthusiasts from every country in the world and only to individuals who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry.
