Love - Photometria Awards 2017 now is over!
Photometria International Photography Festival 2017 organized for the 8th year by ’Entefxis also this year is hosting a photography award themed “Love” and invites entries from all around the world.
About Competition
Organized by "Entefxis", an non-profit organization, Photometria International Photography Festival 2017 once again is hosting a photography award, this time themed “Love”.
Organized for the 8th year in the city of Ioannina, Photometria is the first interactive Photography Festival in which everyone who loves the art of photography can participate and vote.
Their vision is for Photometria International Photography Festival to become a showcase of contemporary photography, to support local and foreign photographers, of education and cultivation of partnerships with cultural organizations and festivals in Greece and abroad.
Photometria is a cross-cultural meeting point, bringing ideas, traditions, worldviews, and expressive media.
Attention, changes in this year’s competition:
• The audience award is replaced by the Text Photo Award (a short text, 50 words max about the photo).
• All the photographs will be posted online and will appear at the end of the competition, in order to prevent the copying of ideas.
• After the uploading, a message appears about the successful photo’s uploading.
The applicants have the right to send only 1 picture photo, not bigger than 500kb.
Photos must be original work of the participants and the organizer bears no responsibility for any copyright theft.
The copyright of the photos belongs to the photographers.
If your photo is selected to the top 25, you will be asked for your original file in a good resolution for printing.
The short text for the text photo award should be 50 words max, in english.
Twenty-five photos will be selected as winning on the 31 May 2017 and exhibited in the cultural multiplex of Ioannina in Palea Sfagia, Greece 31 May – 11 June, 2017. The same exhibition will travel to 13 Greek and 3 foreign cities. The 4 awards will be announced on 11 June 2017 at the closing ceremony of the Festival.
There is no entry fee for this competition!
