Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize 2017 now is over!
Painting competition The Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize created in 2005 to encourage the very best creative representational painting and promote the skill of draftsmanship, is opened for entries for new 2017 accepting submissions of two-dimensional works in any painting or drawing media.
About Competition
The Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize, painting competition was created in 2005 by the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers and the Lynn Foundation to encourage the very best creative representational painting and promote the skill of draftsmanship.
The range and quality of artists entering and exhibiting in the exhibition have grown each year and its reputation amongst artists is outstanding.
Only original, two-dimensional works in any painting or drawing media, that have been completed in the last three years, and that have not been previously exhibited, are eligible. All works must be for sale, except commissioned portraits.
Artists may submit up to four works. Works of art submitted must not exceed 72 inches (183 cm) in their largest dimension including frame. Works on paper must be framed. No metal or plastic frames will be accepted for judging. Works submitted must be available for exhibition.
All entries must have been completed in the last three years.All entries cannot have been previously exhibited.All works must be for sale, except commissioned portraits.
Only works shortlisted from the initial digital submission will be received for final judging.
If selected for the Final Judging, artists will be invited to bring their work to the Mall Galleries.
The standard entry fee is £15 per work and student entry fee is £8 payable at the time of entry.
Eligibility
The Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize is open to living artists over the age of 18, who are resident in the British Isles.
