2017 National Geographic - Nature Photographer of the Year now is over!
The National Geographic, as a leader in capturing our world through brilliant imagery, recently has launched 2017 National Geographic photo contest titled Nature Photographer of the Year inviting to submit spectacular pictures that tell the story of animals, lands, and environments around the world.
About Competition
The 2017 National Geographic photo contest titled Nature Photographer of the Year is now accepting submissions. They are looking for spectacular pictures that tell the story of animals, lands, and environments around the world.
Submit your best photos to one of four categories:
• wildlife,
• landscapes,
• aerials, and
• underwater
Guidlines:
Submissions must be in digital format. Only online entries will be eligible. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this contest. The photograph need not be taken with a digital camera; scans of negatives, transparencies, or photographic prints are acceptable. All digital files must be 20 megabytes or smaller, must be in JPEG or .jpg format, and must be at least 1,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 1,600 pixels tall (if a vertical image).
Only minor burning, dodging and/or color correction is acceptable, as is minor cropping. High dynamic range images (HDR) and stitched panoramas are acceptable. Any changes to the original photograph not itemized here or in the Guidelines are unacceptable and will render the Submission ineligible for a prize.
The Submission, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest entrant.
Submissions must have been taken within two years before the date of entry and may not previously have won an award in any National Geographic contest.
Winners will be announced on the official website on or about 12 December 2017.
The entry fee is US$15 per entry.

This comepetition is open only to individuals who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry and who reside in the United States, its territories (excluding Puerto Rico) and the District of Columbia, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Canada (excluding Quebec), China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
