New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards 2017 now is over!
New York Festival’s World’s Best TV & Films competition that honors programming in all lengths and forms from over 50 countries has been recently opened the call for entries for the new tv and film competition for 2017 titled New York Festivals® (NYF) International Television & Film Awards, accepting submissions in the different categories.
About Competition
Tv and film competition NYF’s World’s Best TV & Films℠ that celebrate content in all lengths and forms since 1957 also this year continues to honor exceptional programming being created around the globe.
The categories for Television & Film are divided into two main groups: there is a group for submissions which are distributed/transmitted and a group for submissions which are exhibited/screened.
The first group includes News Programs, News Reports/Features, Entertainment Programs, Entertainment Specials, Promotions/Station IDs & Opens, Documentaries, Music Videos, Online Programs, Student Productions/Webisodes, Video Art & Experimental Films, On-air Performers, and categories for crafts.
The second group includes Feature Films, Documentary Films, Short Films, Movie Trailers, Industrial Productions, Corporate Presentations, Network Upfronts, Business Theater, Event Venue Productions, Education/Information/Entertainment Productions/For-Purchase-Videos, and categories for crafts.
For 2017, the competition has two new documentary categories in which you can submit your works:
- Heroes, for stories about ordinary people whose acts of heroism or advocacies have touched the lives of people follow and
- Ecotourism, for stories about responsible travel supporting conservation efforts, wildlife, and appreciation for nature.
To be eligible for the 2017 competition, entries must have been produced, released, exhibited, screened, aired or shown online between 1 September 2015 and 15 October 2016, the final deadline. If the competition deadline date is extended, eligibility will also be extended to that date.
Select the category that most closely relates to your submission’s type of program, primary purpose or target audience. You may enter the same production or program in multiple categories, including program categories and technique categories.
All Entries in the 2017 competition will be judged online and screened by New York Festivals Television & Film Awards Grand Jury of 200 plus producers, directors, writers, and other creative media professionals from around the globe.
The 2017 Television & Film Awards gala will take place at the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas on April 25th, 2017. This is the 7th year that NYF and their official partner, NAB Show, will present the competition to more than 103,000 media and entertainment professionals from 187 countries, including 1,608 industry press representatives, and over 1,800 exhibiting companies.

- Student: $75 USD
