NordArt 2018 Open Call For Artists now is over!
NordArt 2018, recently organised by Kunstwerk Carlshütte, an non-profit cultural initiative, is one of the largest annual international juried exhibition of contemporary art in Europe, representing all facets of visual arts.
About Competition
Kunstwerk Carlshütte is a non-profit cultural initiative and organizes an annual art exhibition NordArt, taking place since 1999, with about 200 selected artists from all over the world. As an internationally established forum for cultural education and exchange, the NordArt has dedicated itself to the task of enhancing mutual understanding through the language of art.
Year after year, the exhibition designed by Chief Curator Wolfgang Gramm redefines itself anew, setting new priorities. NordArt ranks among the largest exhibitions of contemporary art in Europe.
Artworks in the following fields may be submitted:
• Painting
• Graphic
• Photo
• Video
• Sculpture
• Object
• Installation
• Performance
• Other
You can upload up to 10 images (not more than 1 MB single file in the format: JPG, GIF, PNG) of artworks which could be shown at the NordArt.
Selection of artists takes place by the end of February 2018. The jury is made up of artists, an art historian, and the supervisory board and management. A list of the invited artists will be published online on Kunstwerk Carlshütte’s homepage by the beginning of March 2018.
The formerly northern Germany’s largest ironworks, the aisles of the decommissioned Carlshütte with 22,000 square metres, a 80,000 square meters sculpture park, as well as public spaces in town will be used as exhibition area.
There is no entry fee for this competition.
