3rd International Poster Biennale Lublin 2017
3rd International Poster Biennale Lublin 2017 now is over!
Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures and Otwarta Pracownia Artistic Association in Lublin (Poland) have the pleasure to invite you to take part in the 3rd edition of the International Poster Biennale Lublin 2017.
About Competition
Apart from being a cultural event, Biennale is a great opportunity to follow and compare the achievments of young artists from various countries. The first edition, held in 2013, has drawn more than 1000 submissions from over 20 countries. This variety of multicultural perspectives has aroused a lot of interest and appreciation. The competition has created a space for dialogue and discussion, as the works have touched upon different subject matters, at the same time displaying high esthetic value.
Similarly as in the previous editions, orgnaiser want to focus on posters created by students of art faculties. However, this time they have decided to invite professional artists as well.
Although the focus remains on posters created by students of art faculties.
Posters may be submitted in three categories:
• Student - is aimed at people who are currently studying and those who have graduated in 2017
• Professional - for all the people interested in poster art or performing it professionally
• 700th Anniversary of the City of Lublin - is open to anyone who would like to create posters connected with the City of Lublin.
In both Student and Professional categories works can touch upon any subject, but they have to be created after 30 June 2015. Please do not send works that have already been awarded in other competitions (prizes like Grand Prix, first, second or third prize).
The jury will award the most outstanding posters.
The list of participants qualified for the exhibition will be announced on poster.co.pl and poster.umcs.pl websites, after the jury proceedings, no later than on 31 October 2017.
There is no entry fee for this competition.
