Pure Talents Contest 2021 now is over!
The Pure Talents Contest hosted by imm cologne and one of the best known international competition for young designers and the starting point for many of the chosen participants, is currently accepting entries for 2021.
About Competition
The Pure Talents Contest 2021 has been recently opened for entries - it will be a very special design contest that reflects the accelerated evolution of a digital future!
The Pure Talents Contest is among the most highly recognized international design competitions for up-and-coming designers. Hosted by one of the world’s most important interior design trade fairs, it is the platform on which emerging talent can showcase their products to a large audience and make their first contacts in the industry. In the past seventeen years, a total of 476 products by 526 designers from all over the world have been presented at imm cologne as part of the contest exhibition.
Once again young creatives from across the world are invited to submit their individual or group works for a highly diverse range of furniture categories.
Products from the following categories are allowed to participate:
• Furniture
• Home Accessories
• Lighting
• Floor Coverings, Wallpapers and Textiles
• Smart Home
Submission requirements:
➜ It is only allowed to enter prototypes for the competition, concepts or rendered models will not be considered during the selection process for the exhibition.
➜ The designs should have been produced within the previous twelve months.
➜ Only prototype products may be submitted which have not yet been included in series productions, although those in the preparatory stages of series production may be eligible for entry. Products submitted may have already been on show at other exhibitions or have been featured in publications.
➜ Not more than 3 products may be entered by the same applicant.
➜ A 1:1 model(s) of the product(s) submitted should already be available for display in the exhibition or the entrant must be in a position to produce the said 1:1 design model at his/her own expense by the time of the exhibition.
➜ you have to upload 3 images (JPG) of the product (max. size 2mb per image).
➜ you will have also upload a matriculation certificate or the university degree through the online form.
Up to 20 current pieces of work by design students and young designers from all over the world will be put forward and showcased. From this selection, the three most talented international up-and-coming designers in 2021 will be chosen by the jury. The LivingKitchen Selection Prize is selected from up to 6 works.
As the organizers are striving to ensure equal opportunities for all contestants and they currently have to assume that travel will be subject to different restrictions in different regions of the world, competition entries will be submitted digitally, and the presentation of the nominees to the jury and at the event will also take place exclusively via digital media. In addition to the prize money for the winners and the fully sponsored presentation of their designs at a special exhibition at imm cologne and LivingKitchen 2021, the nominees will benefit from additional PR measures and will be granted access to the trade fair’s exclusive networking tools. This will allow them to strengthen their presence at the trade fair and guarantee them opportunities to successfully make contact with potential producers.
imm cologne, the international interiors show, welcomes visitors from 18-24 January, 2021.

Eligibility
Open to design students and young designers from around the world who have gained their degree not more than three years ago, with a graduation date after 1 January 2017.
Prize
From the applications received, the international jury will nominate a maximum of 20 products, whose designers will be invited to take part in the competition and thereby in the exhibition at imm cologne 2021. Out of these nominees the international jury of design experts will choose the three winners and a total of 6,000 EUR will be awarded in prize money.
