About Competition
The Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2017 annual design contest seeking for all kinds of inventions, novelty designs and aesthetic designs that are not in the market, and not produced for sale before 2 July 2017.
This year’s Red Dot winners will emerge from 34 concept categories and will be announced for their outstanding design quality and excellence on the 5 October 2017 in Singapore.
This is the largest professional design concept competition in the world.
With an international jury consisting of experts from diverse fields, the award serves as a fair, recognized, and indisputable benchmark for creativity and design excellence in the industry.
Red Dot Design Award identifies good design since 1950. It received more than 18,000 applications in 2016.
In 2005, the award recognized the need to identify and celebrate new design concept and innovation, the precursor of tomorrow’s great product.
Submission fees for this contest start at $50 (SGD) and vary depending on the competition category and type of entry.
