Retail Design Institute 2016 International Student Design Competition

Retail Design Institute 2016 International Student Design Competition now is over!
The Retail Design Institute and its Student Design Competition Committee has announced the 2016 retail design competition and seeks for design proposals for a ’Convenience Store with Gas Station’.
About Competition
Retail Design Institute’s by this retail design competition aim to award creative thinking, to help your professors provide students a real-world holistic design process, and to introduce students to the exciting and dynamic career of retail design.
Among the submiittal requirements, they ask for a written explanation of the concept, a design process board that visually depicts the thinking and hand-drawn line work for the key views.
Convenience stores or c-stores are a hot topic in the retail design industry, as many operators are currently redesigning, re-branding and rolling out new prototypes, and generally immune to economic slowdowns.
The process is divided into three phases, programming, concept design, and final concept design development.
There is no cost for submitting individual entries. The cost for group entries of two or more students is $50 per submission.
Eligibility
All students presently enrolled in a recognized college level Architectural, Interior Design or Environmental Design program are invited to participate on this interior design competition.
