Riva Industria Mobili S.p.A., a company selling its own solid wood furniture Collection under the registered trademark of RIVA 1920, promotes the 8th Design Award “Light up your idea” for the design of 10 I PINETTI – X-MAS TREES.
About Competition
Riva Industria Mobili S.p.A., a company selling its own solid wood furniture collection under the registered trademark of RIVA 1920, promotes the 8th Design Award “Light up your idea” for the design of 10 I PINETTI - X-MAS TREES.
The projects having a simple and easy feasibility, but a high aesthetic impact combined with design, functionality and eco-sustainability, which best pursue the distinctive style of the Riva1920 Collection, will be favoured.
Guidelines for materials:
➜ Solid wood _ Riva 1920 – scented cedarwood
➜ sizes: Ø 23 cm - H. 50 cm
➜ creation: the object has to be obtained by a unique piece of cedarwood, by turning or any other technique
Each participant, as an individual or a group, may submit only 1 project. The project submitted must be original and unpublished.
The Examining Committee (composed of Maurizio and Davide Riva of the company Riva 1920) will evaluate the documents received and compliant with the regulations of this competition announcement on the basis of the originality and aesthetic-functional values of the proposed object, without however excluding the communication and presentation quality of the project. In total 10 entries will be selected.
As in the seven previous editions, it will be decided whether to organize an event on the occasion, during which there will be the announcement and the award ceremony to the winners.
Submission requirements
➜ 1 sheet under “Preview of the project”, strictly in jpg format (not exceeding 1MB, 3000 x 2000 px, 72 dpi). This will be the first sheet analysed by the jury and can correspond to the render or to any other image representing the project you want to show as a preview (general concept of the project).
➜ 1 sheet “Render”, A3 format strictly in PDF format (not exceeding 4 MB).
➜ 1 sheet under “Technical Drawing”, A3 format, strictly in PDF format (not exceeding 4MB). In this section you must enter plans, sections prospects, measures and materials used.
➜ 1 sheet under “Description of the project”, A4 format, strictly in PDF format with title (name of the project) and class of participation, with a short description of the project.
The design may be accompanied by a small model.
Eligibility
Participation in the competition is open to everyone, participation both as individuals and in groups is allowed.
Prize
The total prize money will be € 10.000 pre-tax and it will be divided equally among the 10 winners of the competition who will therefore receive € 1,000 each in addition to royalties equal to 4% from the marketing of the I PINETTI – X-MAS TREE.
