Royal Society of Biology Photography Competition 2020, has been recently opened for entries inviting amateurs photographers to submit they best photos on a particular theme.
About Competition
The Royal Society of Biology Photography Competition 2020 is now open for entries!
The theme for 2020 edition is ’Our changing world’ and the competition is dedicated to capturing the transformations and dynamics of the life on Earth.
Your photograph could illustrate the changes which occur within nature, including metamorphosis and shifts from young to adult. You might wish to depict how habitats develop during ecological succession, how wildlife adapts, or the impacts humans have on nature. The Royal Society of Biology also welcomes entries that explore this theme at the cellular, genetic and molecular level, exploring how life can change at a variety of different scales.
There are two categories:
➜ Photographer of the Year (18 and over)
➜ Young Photographer of the Year (under 18)
Submission requirements:
➜ Entrants can enter either the Photographer of the Year category or the Young Photographer of the Year category.
➜ Each entrant may enter up to 3 photographs into the competition.
➜ Images should be high resolution JPEG or PNG files and no larger than 10MB in size.
Shortlisted entrants will be notified in September. The full details of the winner, runner-up and highly commended entries will be announced for the first time at the Royal Society of Biology Annual Awards Ceremony which will take place on Thursday 8th October 2020.
There is no entry fee to participate!
Prize
Photographer of the Year will recive £1,000 of the cash prize and Young Photographer of the Year will recive £500 of the cash prize.
