Santorini Biennale Call For Artists 2016 now is over!
The Santorini Biennale has recently opened the call for entries for its 2016 art competition calling artists worldwide to study and explore the artistic theme ’Alice’s adventures in Wonderland’ with the aim to promote both emerging and established artists that are working on the borders between different art disciples.
About Competition
Art competition The Santorini Biennale Call For Artists 2016 is calling artists worldwide to study and explore the artistic theme "Alice’s adventures in Wonderland". The question is "Who is Alice?", "Where is wonderland and what is the Wonder?"
The aim of this competition for artist is to promote both emerging and established artists that are working on the borders between different art disciples, allowing them to surpass the traditional (and perhaps limiting) concepts of classicism, modernism, contemporary and applied arts.
All participants are allowed to submit their artworks in the following categories:
• Painting
• Illustration
• Drawing
• Graphic
• Collage
• Paper art
• Sculpture
• Ceramic
• Jewellery
• Installation Art
• Digital Art – Immersivia Project
• Photography
Artists or a group of artists can submit up to 5 artworks to any category or to mixed categories.
Curators will select from one to three artworks per submission.
The pre-registration fee of 60 Euro will be deduced from the final registration fee (250 Euro) if artworks are accepted or it will be refunded by 100% in the case of non acceptance. Students get -50% off.
Eligibility
This competition is open to all individual and group of artists and students. There is no limit of age, sex, nationality or other qualifications.
