Spirito Di Vino 2017 Satirical Cartoons Competition now is over!

The Spirito di Vino, annual cartoon contest now in its 18th edition organised by Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia, an competition for artists of satirical cartoons concerning the world and culture of wine, invites all cartoonists from all over the world to partecipate.

About Competition

Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia, in collaboration with Ottagono magazine, announces a public cartoon contest named “Spirito di Vino” - “Spirit of Wine” for prizes to be awarded to artists of satirical cartoons concerning the world and culture of wine.

Since its first edition, Spirito di Vino has been particulary focussed on young artists, who have always proved very willing to take part to the initiative. Today Movimento Turismo del Vino is still carrying out this project with passion and momentum with the aim of raising awareness, not only among young people, but also among wine lovers from all around the world, on the need to drink responsibly.

It is an international competition for cartoonists who want to make an amusing, ironic comment on wine and wine culture.

Cartoonists taking part to the competition are divided in two groups: • Italian and non-Italian artists from 18 to 35 years old
• Italian and non-Italian artists older than 36 years

Cartoons should not exceed the dimensions of 30x40cm in vertical. Each artist can send maximum 3 cartoons
The jury will evaluate the works and will select the 30 finalists authors, belonging to both sections.
During the Friuli DOC festival, the jury will nominate the first 3 artists in the rankings of both groups will be awarded a selection of fine wines from Friuli. The prize-winning works shall be the property of Movimento Turismo del Vino FVG.

The winner’s nouns will be revealed during the FriuliDOC festival in Udine.

There is no entry fee for this competition.
