Taiwan International Student Design Competition 2018 now is over!
Taiwan International Student design Competition (TISDC) 2018, organised by Ministry of Education Taiwan has been recently launched this year themed “Breakthrough and Innovation“, and all students are invited to prepare their best work.
About Competition
Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) 2018 has been recently announced for entries inviting all students to partecipate. Like every year the aim of this student design competition is to encourage international creative design exchange, develop creative design talents, express the international image of Taiwan attaching great importance to creative design, and establish the international design status of Taiwan.
The Taiwan International Student Design Competition is hosted by the Ministry of Education Taiwan annually, since 2003. Every year, it receives thousands of entries from all parts of the world.
This year theme is "Breakthrough and Innovation".
TISDC 2018 includes the following competition categories:
• Product Design - you may upload up to 3 files per entry. Each file must be under 1MB, A3, 300dpi, JPG format.
• Visual Design - the work can be presented a single or series design. You may upload up to 3 files per entry. Each file must be under 1MB, A3, 300dpi, JPG format.
• Digital Animation - you may upload a 30-60 seconds trailer of the film. (The file must be under 100MB, MOV /MP4 format), a full length film which must be under 10 minutes. (The file must be under 800MB, MOV /MP4 format.) And a film poster, A3, 300dpi, under 1MB in JPG format.
• Brand Specified - you may upload up to 3 files per entry. Each file must be under 1MB, A3, 300dpi, JPG format.
The creative design of the competition theme “Breakthrough and Innovation” must be expressed in the participating pieces.
After the registration is completed, participants can login to the website using their personal account and password to upload new works and modify works or personal data until the deadline of submission.
Entrants can compete as individuals or in teams.
Evaluation Operation：
A.Preliminary Selection:
The evaluation will be based on the digital files provided by the participants. The evaluation committee will select finalists for the final selection.
B.Final Selection:
Finalists in Product Design, Visual Design category and Service Design category will be judged according to the printout works submitted by the participants. In Digital Animation category, the nominated films will be evaluated according to the digital files.
The design works will be judged on their creativity, interpretation of the theme, expression of concept, and aesthetic approach. Domestic and international experts in different fields will be invited to organize the preliminary and final selection committee to process the evaluation.
The awarding cup and the certificate will be conferred by the Minister of Education and the Award Ceremony will take place in November.
The winners will be announced on the official website and other media in Taiwan and abroad, to allow suppliers to seek for design cooperation opportunities.
There is no entry fees to partecipate in this competition!
Eligibility
Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) 2018 is open to students who currently enroll at senior high schools or above (Based on the internet registration deadline, and the participant must be born after May 12, 1988, and be younger than 30 years of age. For females who have given birth before year of 30 may have 2 years extension per birth.).
