Taiwan World Watercolor Competition 2016 now is over!
The organisers of Art & Decoration Service Co. and International Watercolor Society Taiwan branch host the 1st Taiwan World Watercolor Competition & Exhibition inviting worldwide watercolor artists and highly recognized watercolor masters to participate in this art competition.
About Competition
For corresponding with the global trend, opening new visions toward art, accelerating intercultural communications, elevating technique standard, raising the visibility of Taiwan watercolour and fulfilling the idea of ’Earth Nourishment, World Family, Art Communion’, the organisers of Art & Decoration Service Co. and International Watercolor Society Taiwan branch host the 1st art competition titled Taiwan World Watercolor Competition & Exhibition under the guidance of Ministry of Culture.
Entries must be primarily painted with transparent watercolor media on a watercolor paper surface and unvarnished (Yupo is permitted). Supplementary media such as gouache, acrylic, egg tempera and other water-based composite media are allowed to use but the use of transparent watercolor must be over 80% on the painting.
Each entrant may submit a maximum of 5 paintings. All entries must be the original work of the entrant, and must be completed within last three years (during June 2013-June 2016).
The maximum size of work, in its largest dimension, is 110 cm. The minimum size of work, in its smallest dimension, is 40 cm.
Entry fee for this art competition is 50 USD each entrant.
Eligibility
This art competiton is open to all artists who are 16 years or older, amateur and professional, from all nations.
