13th Tapirulan Illustrators Contest now is over!
The Italian Cultural Association Tapirulan is proud to announce the 13th edition of its illustration competition titled Tapirulan Illustrators Contest inviting all artist from all over the world to take a part with they best work.
About Competition
The purpose of the Tapirulan Illustrators Contest is not only to award an illustrator, but also to produce an exciting show, attract visitors and focus public attention on illustration as a profession.
A rich and colourful exhibition made up of three sections: the images selected by the jury, the winning illustrations from previous editions, and the works of the special guest illustrator (Tony Wolf for this new edition of the contest).
The result is an exhibition of approximately 200 works. Every year they endeavour to add new exhibition venues to the original one, Cremona, which hosts the show between December and January They put a lot of time and consideration into the hanging of the work because they believe it is vitally important for the illustrations to be well presented.
Theme of this year is: ’CIAO’.
Ciao is a friendly and informal greeting, used mostly in it’s native Italy, but also very common almost all over the world, mainly thanks to the many Italian emigrants who’ve taken it with them. You meet with a ciao, you introduce yourself with a ciao, you say goodbye with a ciao… How? Where? Who with? Why? They leave the answers to all these questions to the fervid imaginations of their illustrators.
