The Rookies Award 2019, an international annual student media awards sponsored by Autodesk, invites young creatives in film, animation, games, virtual reality, motion graphics and 3d visualisation to partecipate with they best works having posibility to show their work to the world.

About Competition

The Rookie Awards 2019, international student media award recently has been announced and is about to open entry for all aspiring artists on 7th March 2019.

The Rookie Awards is an annual contest open to young creatives in film, animation, games, virtual reality, motion graphics and 3D visualization.

Founded in 2009, The Rookies has become the go-to community for all aspiring artists serious about careers in film, games, immersive media, 3d visualisation and more.

The Rookies is a much needed support network for artists during their journey from novice through to the early stages of their professional career. This is their journey, and it is our responsibility to connect them with trusted companies, studios and schools that will help them become the artist we know they can be.

The Rookie Awards is our premium contest where young creatives from around the world showcase their work to our panel of judges and compete for prizes, jobs and scholarships. PLEASE NOTE: that absolutely no professional industry work is allowed.

The 2019 competition includes the following main categories:

• Rookie of the Year — includes eight categories open to individual artists to showcase their skills
• Film of the Year — includes eight team based and speciality categories for extra opportunities
• Game of the Year — for game design and development
• Specialty — additional categories open to younger audience and schools

All entries will be judged based upon criteria that are the sole discretion of The Rookies. As a guide, these include: overall presentation, technical skills, creative skills, industry skills, variety of content, and employability.

Judging panel will reviews every entry, awarding them an industry ranking and selecting top people per category. The winner announcement is scheduled for July 16, 2019.

There is no entry fee to participate!

Eligibility

The Rookie Awards 2019 is open to all aspiring young artists. If you are trying to break into the creative media and entertainment industry, you are eligible. Students and self-taught artists are allowed to enter their work.
