Wildlife Artist Of The Year Competition 2018 now is over!
The Wildlife Artist Of The Year Competition 2017, artist competition organised by David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation has been recently opened for entries and also this year they welcomes entries from around the world in all artistic media.
About Competition
Now in its 11th edition Wildlife Artist Of The Year Competition is one of the most important event in the wildlife art calendar.
There are six categories:
• Animal Behaviour
• Into the Blue
• Urban Wildlife
• Vanishing Fast
• Wings
• Earth’s Wild Beauty
All categories cover all mediums, including sculpture and original prints (excluding photography and film and electronically created artwork). Entries must be work completed within the last five years by the entrants themselves and must be their own original work. Work completed before 12th February 2013 cannot be entered.
The judges are looking for not only beautifully executed original artworks but also an imaginative interpretation, moving away from the purely photographic to compositions with great characterization, showing imagination, originality and genuine creativity.
There is no maximum number of entries
Judging will take place in three stages. Prize giving and exhibition will be at the Mall Galleries, London 1st May - 6th May 2018.
Entry fee for DSWF members (17-25 years and over 60) is 10 GBP per entry and for all others are 25 GBP per entry.

This competition is open worldwide to both amateur and professional artists alike aged 17 years or over.
